There is a Strong smell but there are showers in the changing rooms. Even rinsing without soap takes most of the smell away. There isn't an age limit. My youngest are 1 & 2 years old but this isn't a run around whoop it type place. it is for nicely, calmly soaking. My two little one sat on the edge with just their legs in as it was very warm for them. The minerals did not seem to affect our suits. We were in a different hot spring last year in Colorado & they were fine then. You can RENT suits @ the park for the hot springs though.
