New York Mets star shortstop Francisco Lindor told reporters on Thursday that he broke his right pinky toe after getting hit by a Tony Gonsolin slider during Wednesday's 6-1 win over the Los Angeles Dodgers.

Mets manager Carlos Mendoza said that Lindor immediately bargained to be in the lineup on the team bus back to the hotel on Wednesday night, but the team will play it cautiously with their shortstop in the early going.

Dealing with a broken pinky toe on his right foot, Francisco Lindor still may be available to make an impact sometime this weekend for the New York Mets against the Colorado Rockies.
