Hundreds of government workers across multiple county agencies are returning to work after going on strike. SEIU 668 says they’ve been working without a contract for nine months. The union claims Bucks County has insisted on large cuts to workers health benefits.

AFSCME District Council 88, which falls under Council 13, represents a majority of county workers in Bucks, District Council 88 director Tom Tosti said. The county government is Bucks County's third-largest employer, with about 2,300 employees. The county did not comment publicly on contract negotiations with the union.

The 500 members of SEIU Local 668 have been negotiating for a new contract for over a year, and have been without one for nine months.
