One person is hospitalized after a car and Brightline train collided on Wednesday morning in North Miami Beach, according to Miami-Dade Fire Rescue. Fire rescue got the call around 10 a.m. about a crash between a car and train near Northeast 165th Terrace and Biscayne Boulevard.

Four members of Delray Beach Fire Rescue, including top brass, have been placed on administrative leave following the crash between a fire truck and a Brightline train last Saturday.

A Brightline train slammed into a car in North Miami Beach today, tearing the vehicle in half and sending the driver to the hospital with injuries. The incident occurred around 10 a.m. near the intersection of Northeast 163rd Street and Biscayne Boulevard.

Delray Beach Fire Chief Ronald Martin said in a Facebook post Friday evening that four employees are being placed on administrative leave with pay.

The accident happened at the intersection near Northeast 165th Street and Biscayne Boulevard around 10 a.m., where Chopper 4 caught glimpses of a black car with its back smashed in and the Brightline train involved at a halt with front end damage as well.
