A First Alert for Sunday, as a cold front is projected to slide across the region. That front will bring our next round of rain and storms to the area, with a few showers continuing into Monday morning. Damaging wind, hail, lightning and heavy rain are the primary threats with this storm system. The tornado threat is low but not zero.

While we get a break from the constant rains, our flooding and high water threat remains. Scattered rains will return in the Friday overnight through our Saturday daytime hours. Saturday evening we will see the return of our active severe weather threat - with potentially severe storms rumbling in to our region in evening hours on Saturday leading into heavy widespread rain on our Sunday.
