Lyft is getting rid of its dockless bikes and scooters in D.C. on October 1, 2024, as the company aims to focus on the Capital Bikeshare System.

The rideshare giant announced the decision to pull its two-wheeler electric scooters off the streets starting Oct. 1 as part of an effort to narrow its product portfolio, restructure costs, and streamline operations, according to a press release from Lyft earlier this month.
