The referee in charge of Sunday's Madrid derby halted the game midway through the second half after Atletico Madrid fans threw objects onto the pitch shortly after rivals Real Madrid took a 1-0 lead.

By Fernando Kallas MADRID (Reuters) -Atletico Madrid's Angel Correa bundled home an equaliser deep into added time against Real Madrid to snatch a 1-1 draw on Sunday in a nervy LaLiga derby that was suspended for just over 20 minutes after the home fans hurled objects onto the pitch.

Real Madrid goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois was subject to missiles being thrown at him as his team took on Atlético Madrid in the La Liga fixture between the two teams.
