Some Democratic voters at the Washington, D.C., No Kings rally voiced concerns about the Democratic Party's opposition to the Trump administration.

Jeffrey Smith had just left the protest at the Airport Rotary when a driver stopped and attacked him, he said.

It was a festive atmosphere with a serious message. The tightly packed crowd was loud with chants, signs, and some wore costumes. The overriding message was demonstrators' contention that President Donald Trump is operating more like a monarch than an elected official.

The No Kings protest in Valparaiso was part of roughly 2,500 similar demonstrations against the Trump administration planned across the country and globe.

While a human banner during the "No Kings" protests made an appearance Oct. 18 on Ocean Beach in San Francisco, it was during the day and included text saying, "No Kings YES on 50," a reference to the Proposition 50 question about California’s congressional redistricting.

Protesters gathered at the Indiana Statehouse on Oct. 18 as part of a national "No Kings" demonstration against President Donald Trump and his administration's actions. Protests were expected to run throughout the day Oct. 18 in Michigan in places as far as the Upper Peninsula as well as in Grand Rapids and in metro Detroit.

Jon Bon Jovi was spotted among thousands during a “ No Kings Day ” protest in Red Bank Saturday. The Sayreville native was seen holding a sign that read “No Kings. No Tyrants. No Sycophants. No Trump.” A photo of the “Livin’ on a Prayer” singer, 63, was sheared to a Bon Jovi fan page on Instagram.
