RHODE ISLAND, USA — Police responded to an active shooter situation Saturday at Brown University near an engineering building on the Providence, Rhode Island Campus, according to the school’s alert system. An update issued at 4:51 p.m. EST said one person was in custody but continued to urge those on campus to shelter-in-place.
