Rosie O’Donnell has asked fans for their support after her daughter, Chelsea, was sentenced to time in prison for allegedly violating the terms of her probation.

“I have compassion for those struggling with addiction — Chelsea was born into addiction and it has been a painful journey for her and her children,” O’Donnell said in a statement to the outlet.
