Snow came down fast and furious Friday evening through the predawn hours Saturday, falling from central New York state to Long Island, with New York City’s snowfall short of the heaviest expected totals.

Philly, Southeast Pennsylvania and parts of South Jersey are on the edge of the snow/sleet line, with shoveling snow possible.
