Forecasters say Storm Floris is to bring winds of up to 85mph as Met Office weather warnings remain in place across Wales, Scotland, Northern Ireland and England

Weather warnings are in place across the North of England and Scotland with Storm Floris expected from Monday morning. The storm is expected to bring high winds and heavy rain - with high ground and exposed coastlines likely to be especially impacted.

Storm Floris, the first rough weather front of the summer, has hit the British Isles this morning. The Met Office named the storm, which is expected to hit with 90mph gusts, as it issued two yellow weather warnings. An amber weather warning is in place for the majority of Scotland between 10am and 10pm.
