The court has granted Harvard’s motion, allowing the University to continue enrolling international students and scholars as the case proceeds.
The US government’s Student and Exchange Visitor Program (SEVP) collects and maintains information so that only “legitimate foreign students or exchange visitors gain entry to the United States,” its website states.
The Trump administration has barred Harvard from allowing international students to enroll at the university, after the school lost its ability to use the Student and Exchange Visitor Program. The SEVP program allows for noncitizens to study at the university under a specific visa.
