Residents gathered in droves across Tampa Bay on Saturday to protest President Donald Trump, his scheduled military parade in Washington D.C., his recent policies over immigration and the mass deportations happening across the country.

TAMPA - Between 2,000 and 3,000 people were in Downtown Tampa to join in the nationwide "No Kings Day" protests. Organizers of the protests say it's a day of defiance as they plan to take action against authoritarianism.

On Saturday, crowds of people gathered throughout the country — including in the Tampa Bay area — for what is dubbed as the "No Kings" protests.

At rallies from Tampa and Largo to Sarasota and Bradenton, protestors made a point of staying on sidewalks and not obstructing traffic.

No Kings is a nationwide protest organized in response to President Trump and his immigration policies. Here are live updates from Florida's rallies.

WFLA's helicopter flew over some of the 'No Kings' protests that were happening across Tampa Bay on Saturday and drew thousands out to the streets.

Cities across the country will see protesters take to the streets on June 14. The nationwide protest is called the 'No Kings Mass Protest.'
