Near 500-Goal Guy Now a Steal of a Deal for the Maple Leafs
While the rest of the team has struggled, former captain John Tavares has been a standout for the Toronto Maple Leafs in the early stages of the 2025–26 season.
Anyway, Tavares would love to score his 500th NHL goal at Scotiabank Arena, and probably would prefer to get it done on Tuesday (in a victory, of course) before the Leafs travel. In 33 games against the Flames, Tavares has 12 goals.
While it hasn't been a blazing start for any of the newcomers (or the team), slowly, they may be taking steps in the right direction.
