ADAIR COUNTY, Ky. ( FOX 56) — After a threat to Adair County Public Schools on Wednesday, the district has banned backpacks.

“That really got our attention and the second thing that did was that Cherokee and Adair county and northeast Oklahoma are kind of like a nationally known book desert and that was shocking,” he said.

Classes have been canceled in Adair County after the school district received a substantiated threat Wednesday morning.
