The sun has risen on Election Day 2024, and it's a race to the finish line. Americans will be following closely to see just how near the predicted margins are in today's Presidential race, and who will inevitably become our new commander-in-chief amid an embattled political environment.
According to the latest count by the LA County Registrar's Office, state Attorney General's Office lawyer Marissa Roy was in first place after receiving 37.93% the counted ballots. While LA County prosecutor John McKinney was in second place with 32.46%, Feldstein Soto, who became LA city attorney in 2022, stood at 19.44%.
A growing chorus of Democratic lawmakers called for President Biden to drop his reelection bid, even as the president insisted he’s ready to return to the campaign trail next week to counter what he called a “dark vision” laid out by Republican Donald Trump.
