Mika Zibanejad had a hat trick, Artemi Panarin scored twice and the Rangers beat the Panthers 5-1 on Friday night in the Winter Classic -- the first outdoor game played in Florida.

But the 2026 Winter Classic, which will be played on Friday, Jan. 2 at 8 p.m. ET at Miami's loanDepot Park, will not have that problem.

The upcoming Winter Classic will be the southern-most outdoor game played in NHL history, surpassing the 2020 Winter Classic, when the Dallas Stars and Nashville Predators met in the Cotton Bowl.
