Deadly wildfires sweeping Los Angeles county have killed at least 10 people and destroyed thousands of structures, including homes and local landmarks.

The list of celebrities who lost their homes and neighbourhoods in the worst fire in Los Angeles history reads like a Hollywood who's who. Jamie Lee Curtis, James Woods, Mandy Moore, Mark Hamill and Maria Shriver were among those who publicly described being forced to evacuate as out-of-control fires swept across some of the most lavish real estate in the world.

Fires burning in and around Los Angeles have claimed the homes of numerous celebrities, including Billy Crystal, Mandy Moore and Paris Hilton and led to sweeping disruptions of entertainment events

Stars including Paris Hilton, Milo Ventimiglia, Tina Knowles, and Jeff Bridges have confirmed the loss of their homes amid thousands in the southern California area.

Los Angeles County fires have raged across communities and destroyed more than 27,000 acres and 2,000 homes, businesses and other structures. The fires have displaced thousands of people as they escape the blazes for safety.
