The New England Patriots held a moment of silence for the victims of two deadly shootings that occurred over the weekend ahead of their game against the Buffalo Bills on Sunday.

Brown University said an active shooter was reported on its Providence, R.I., campus Saturday, and local police said multiple people were shot.

"The New England Patriots are heartbroken by the horrific events at Brown University," the Patriots' statement reads.
