Anticipating Maine’s first significant snow fall this winter, the National Weather Service issued a winter storm watch for Tuesday morning through late Tuesday night in south central, southwest, and western Maine.

Several inches of snow are expected to fall on Dec. 2 in the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic, with freezing rain and iced-over roads in some areas.
