Three meteor showers are active over Michigan skies, with peaks approaching. And a pair of comets are joining the show.

October will see four meteor showers streak across Michigan skies as the Draconids, Orionids, Southern Taurids and Northern Taurids provide a monthlong light show late at night, according to EarthSky.

The Orionids, which began Oct. 2, will continue to be active until Nov. 12, 2025. The meteor shower will peak Oct. 22-23.
