Columbus, Ohio Shooting: Heath and Newark Police Respond to Active Shooter near State Route 79
Authorities were dispatched to the area on Saturday afternoon, according to local reports.
Police from two Licking County police departments are investigating reports of an active shooter in Newark. Newark and Heath police dispatchers told The Advocate about 2:40 p.m. June 6 that their officers were on the scene near State Route 79, which runs between the two cities.
A New Jersey police sergeant is accused of stealing $10,000 in camera equipment from an AP photojournalist injured at an anti-ICE protest.
Newark Mayor Ras Baraka is calling for the immediate closure of Delaney Hall, which has been at the center of ongoing protests.

Police investigate shooting north of Hebron
HEBRON, Ohio (WCMH) — Law enforcement officials are investigating a shooting north of Hebron Saturday afternoon. According to a Newark Police Department media release, at 1:10 p.m., a male suspect was leaning out of a moving car and fired multiple times into another car in the area of Mount Vernon Road and State Route 16.
The decision came after Mayor Ras Baraka expressed confidence that demonstrators could continue to protest peacefully without restrictions.
