‘Forever in our hearts’: Final radio call for Officer Stephen LaPorta, community farewell in Franklin A final farewell for Uxbridge police officer Stephen LaPorta was held today in Franklin on Thursday at St. Mary’s Church. Hundreds of officers and community members joined LaPorta’s family for funeral services.

Funeral services are being held Monday for Delaware State Police Corporal Matthew “Ty" Snook, the trooper killed in the line of duty at a Wilmington DMV last month, with officials urging the public to plan ahead if attending or to watch from afar due to expected traffic disruptions.

The procession featured many police vehicles, as they escorted Stephen LaPorta's body from the medical examiner's office to the police station in Uxbridge.
