The park has more than 80 miles of trails — 5,200 acres of forest — that someone could get lost in before they reach the mansion. Most of my hike to Pittock Mansion took place in Forest Park.
What's more, the grounds surrounding Pittock Mansion are a public park open daily through 9 p.m. The woods behind the mansion are a part of Forest Park, offering a variety of hiking trails.
