Chicago weather: Storm chances fade as winter chill returns
Scattered showers and a few storms will be possible this evening and tonight, but the overall threat of severe storms in Chicagoland appears fairly low. The higher severe threat remains south across central Illinois and central Indiana.
The Chicago area smashed temperature records on Monday, but the warm weather will continue for several more days.

Dangerously cold temperatures returned to the Chicago weather forecast Monday, a day after a winter storm dumped snow totaling over six inches on much of the area.
