The Chicago Bears appeared to be losing ground to the Las Vegas Raiders in their fight for Detroit Lions offensive coordinator Ben Johnson until this update from ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Earlier in the week, Bears quarterback Caleb Williams was part of a viral prank. A group of kids texted Williams pretending to be Johnson and in the text, they sent messages saying that Johnson was going to get the Bears job. The kids even received a FaceTime call from Williams after the messages were sent.

After former Tennessee Titans head coach Mike Vrabel agreed to a deal to be the next coach of the New England Patriots, Johnson becomes the most sought after name of all available candidates. For Waddle, he believes there is no better answer to the Bears' coaching woes than Johnson, especially from an offensive standpoint.
