Manchester City have completed the signing of Rayan Cherki from French club Lyon for €36.5million (£30.9m, $41.7m). The 21-year-old France international has signed a five-year contract until 2030. He will be available to play for Pep Guardiola’s side at the upcoming Club World Cup in the United States.

It is two signings in two days for Manchester City and, according to Opta, they are two impressive ones at that. Rayan Cherki led all players aged 21 or under for both chances created (75) and expected assists (11.7) in Europe's big five leagues in 2024-25.

Manchester City are set to sign attacking midfielder Rayan Cherki from Lyon in a €40 million package deal.
