People in the Cleves and Whitewater Twp. in Hamilton County are being asked to immediately evacuate after a “dangerous” chemical leak near the intersection of US-50 and OH-128.

The company tied to the styrene leak just west of Cincinnati is apologizing for its role in the incident that pushed residents from home and students from schools. Ineos Styrolution, located on the banks of the Ohio River at 356 Three Rivers Parkway in Addyston,

Allison Babka, public information officer with Hamilton County Public Health, said the air quality 'thus far has shown no issues within the incident zone' and also that the nearby water source from the Village of Cleves Waterworks is not experiencing any issues.

The styrene leak at a railyard in the Cleves and Whitewater Township area has stopped, but officials said an evacuation order remains in place.
