Apple announced major software updates at its annual Worldwide Developers Conference. Most of the new features won’t reach users’ devices for a few months when OS 26 releases this fall.
Now, the Camera app in iOS 26 features a "new more intuitive design" that take minimalism to the extreme. The streamlined design shows just two controls: Video or Camera. Swipe left or right to choose modes. Swipe up for settings such as aspect ratio and timers, and tap for additional preferences.

Apple has confirmed that iOS 26 will only be compatible with the iPhone 11 and later. That means some devices that are running the current iOS 18 won't be able to switch. "New software features will be available this autumn as a free software update for iPhone 11 and later," Apple confirmed.
