The Leagues Cup, first introduced in 2019, pits the best clubs from Major League Soccer against those from Mexico’s top professional league, Liga MX. It has led to some exciting action, as it gives each league the chance to earn bragging rights, along with the opportunity for clubs to take home a trophy.

The Leagues Cup schedule for Wednesday, Aug. 6 is a little more loaded than usual as seven matches will be played.

Club America and the Portland Timbers will face off in the 2025 Leagues Cup match on Wednesday. The Liga MX side has been a goal-scoring force and is coming off of a 3-3 draw against Minnesota United on the second matchday.
