Demi Moore is on cloud nine after getting her first Academy Award nomination. The star reacted to news of her Oscar nod for Best Actress for her role in “The Substance” in a statement on Thursday, telling People, “Being nominated for an Oscar is an incredible honor and these last few months have been beyond my wildest dreams.”

Moore tells EW she previously interpreted the industry's treatment of her as a sign to leave acting behind: "Maybe the universe was saying that I was done."
