The Brooklyn Nets announced on Monday that forward Ziaire Williams is out for Tuesday's game against the New York Knicks due to a left ankle sprain.

At least this time, the Nets showed some heart. But they had it broken, falling 102-101 to the Lakers, aided by some endgame heroics from LeBron James.

Ben Simmons and D'Angelo Russell's statuses for Saturday's Nets-Heat matchup are unclear amid a losing streak.

Williams' usage will take a hit if Cameron Johnson (ankle), D'Angelo Russell (lower leg) and/or Cam Thomas (hamstring) return to action soon.
