Signing Chicago Fire FC have acquired Ivory Coast international winger Jonathan Bamba from LaLiga side Celta de Vigo, the club announced Tuesday.
The 28-year-old, a member of Ivory Coast's team that won last year's Africa Cup of Nations, will be a designated player whose compensation and acquisition cost exceed the $743,750 salary budget charge maximum.
The Chicago Fire acquired midfielder Rominigue Kouame on loan Friday from Spanish LaLiga2 side Cadiz CF for the 2025 season with an option to purchase. Kouame, 28, will fill an international position on the roster. Contract terms were not announced.
