The House voted 55-37 to approve House Bill 1259, which would keep the state on standard time year-round. The bill does not affect time zones.

North Dakota lawmakers passed a bill ending Daylight Saving Time and forcing permanent standard time. The House voted 55 to 37 in favor of sending House Bill 1259 to the Senate. It does not change any time zone lines.
