OpenAI said on Friday that it is rolling out Operator — its AI agent that can perform tasks on behalf of users — for ChatGPT Pro subscribers in Australia,

At the time of launch, OpenAI explained that Operator is powered by the Computer-Using Agent (CUA), which is a special AI model that gets computer vision capabilities from GPT-4o, and advanced reasoning prowesses from an unnamed OpenAI model (which could be the o3 model). The AI agent was post-trained using reinforcement learning.

Operator is now out in Australia, Brazil, Canada, India, Japan, Singapore, South Korea, the UK and most places where ChatGPT is also available, OpenAI has announced. The company launched Operator in the US back in January,

OpenAI is expanding access to its new Operator AI agent to more markets today, including the UK, Canada, and India. Announced last month, Operator can perform tasks on the web for you, and requires a $200 monthly ChatGPT Pro subscription.
