3 Mr Trump has packed almost every inch of wall space in the oval office with portraits in gold frames, almost doubling the number favoured by Mr Biden, mimicking his style at Mar-a-Lago.

He has redecorated the Oval Office by adding portraits of all of his predecessors, a wall-mounted copy of the Declaration of Independence that is shielded by dark drapes and many golden accents.

“You sit in the Oval Office, and you see these portraits of presidents past, and let’s be honest, most of them have been placeholders,” Vance said during an on-camera Cabinet meeting.
