The Alpine Ridge Trail is a paved, steep trail that starts at the Alpine Visitor Center, which sits at 11,796 feet above sea level. Visitors come to see the alpine wildflowers and tundra vistas, as well as the views of the Never Summer Mountains.

After much anticipation, campers are returning to one of Colorado's most highly-sought places. After a closure that spanned two summers, Rocky Mountain National Park recently announced reopening Moraine Park Campground.

A limited number of Moraine Park Campground reservations opened Tuesday morning for a two-week test period, according to Rocky Mountain National Park.
