Oklahoma City TV news station KFOR filed a suit in federal court Monday against State Superintendent Ryan Walters and Dan Isett, who serves as the State Department of Education’s communications director.

KFOR-TV has filed a federal lawsuit against state officials who have repeatedly barred its journalists from public meetings and press conferences, according to a release on Monday.

KFOR has sued state Superintendent Ryan Walters and his press secretary, Dan Isett, who the station says have barred its journalists from meetings.

KFOR is in a legal battle involving the Oklahoma Department of Education, specifically State Superintendent Ryan Walters and his Press Secretary, Dan Isett.
