Homeowners and renters in Florida who experienced losses or damage from Hurricane Milton or Helene have one day remaining to apply for FEMA assistance.

Disaster Recovery Centers have served 4,500 East Tennesseans since Hurricane Helene hit. Now, some are closing as the FEMA grant deadline approaches on Jan. 7.

Homeowners and renters in Florida affected by Hurricanes Milton and Helene have until Tuesday, Jan. 7, 2025, to apply for assistance from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA).

Those who were impacted by Hurricane Helene in North Carolina now have until Feb. 6 to apply for assistance through FEMA.

Sometimes in these situations the person who ends up with the vehicle has no idea it’s stolen, leaving them in complete shock when police take it away. However, it seems that in this case the driver might have known something about that.

If you were impacted by Hurricane Helene or Hurricane Milton time is running out to get help from FEMA. The deadline to apply for assistance is Tues., Jan. 7, 2025. In the Palm Beaches and Treasure Coast the closest location to apply in person is in Indian River County at the IG Center located on 9th St.
