While keeping an eye on the tropics, as hurricane season warms up, an offshore disturbance on the east coast of Florida is forecasted to produce heavy rainfall, which could lead to localized flash flooding over portions of Florida and the north-central Gulf Coast through the middle to latter portion of this week.

The National Hurricane Center said July 14 it is tracking a system off the Atlantic coast of Florida that could bring heavy rain to the area.
