Officials in Scarborough informed the public of a "potential shark sighting in local waters, specifically in the area off the south tip of Richmond Island, Crescent Beach State Park, Higgins Beach and Pine Point Beach" located along the Maine coast. Drone video showing a large great white shark near some of Maine's most popular beaches has prompted police in one coastal town to issue a warning on Tuesday. The warning was issued just weeks after there were multiple great white sightings in an area of Maine where a woman was fatally attacked by a shark five years ago.
