President Donald Trump said he will “substantially” raise tariffs on India because it’s still buying Russian oil.

U.S. President Donald Trump again threatened on Monday to raise tariffs on goods from India even higher than the current announced rate of 25% over its Russian oil purchases. New Delhi called his attack "unjustified" and vowed to protect its economic interests.

India has a large trade surplus with the U.S. and was previously facing 25% rates set to go into effect this Thursday.
