A shocking new video shows the moment the single survivor of the Air India plane crash escaped the wreckage. The clip, which emerged today, shows British-Indian man Vishwash Kumar Ramesh walking out of a huge billowing cloud of grey smoke where the crash had happened.

A dad from Essex was initially booked on the doomed Air India Flight and just days later ended up sitting in the same seat number as the sole survivor.

Vishwash Kumar Ramesh, a British national, appears to be the only survivor of Air India flight 171, which crashed with 242 people aboard.
