Blake has been on the fourth line for much of the season, but he moved up to play alongside Sebastian Aho and Andrei Svechnikov at even strength in this contest. The move paid off, as Blake scored for just the second time in 10 games when he put the Hurricanes ahead 2-1 early in the third period.
Seth Jarvis had two goals and two assists and Sebastian Aho added a goal and two assists as the Carolina Hurricanes scored five goals in the second period and beat the Columbus Blue Jackets 7-4.
The sentence is for an incident in Jackson on June 28, 2020, that resulted in the death of Darold Goodloe. Curran was on parole at the time of the incident.
