A shark advisory has been issued off of a Makaha surf break after a sighting near a reef this morning, according to Ocean Safety officials.
The spine-chilling encounter went down at the notorious Dillon Beach in Marin County, an area locals have dubbed the “shark pit” for its high concentration of apex predators.
A surfer paddling back to shore at Dillon Beach was hit from below by a shark, leaving a large indentation on the bottom of the board, officials said.
