Los Angeles County District Attorney Nathan Hochman announced new state and federal charges against individuals stemming from the city's anti-ICE riots.

Immigration and Customs Enforcement riots in Los Angeles that started earlier this month, to date, the district attorney’s office has only confirmed that a dozen or so suspects have been criminally charged.

ICE activity in downtown Los Angeles was part of an effort to serve warrants at a business believed to be involved in a slew of cross-border crimes.

The lawsuit came a week after the groups sent a letter to the Department of Homeland Security warning of potential First Amendment violations.
