The government shutdown could affect some SNAP participants in Wisconsin via an incorrect balance showing on their accounts. Feeding America Eastern Wisconsin posted on its Facebook page that some FoodShare (SNAP) participants could see an incorrect balance on their accounts.
The U.S. Department of Agriculture informed states that it won’t fund the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, commonly known as SNAP or food stamps, starting Nov. 1.
