Arizona Sports insider John Gambadoro confirmed the impending change - which will be the sixth name the arena has taken on since opening in 1992.

The Suns' arena has a new name, at least temporarily. The facility formerly known as the Footprint Center will be known as PHX Arena until the team reaches a new deal for a naming partnership. RELATED: Workers were seen removing 'Footprint Center' signs.

Suns owner Mat Ishbia has not been shy when it comes to change since taking over. This was rumored during the offseason but has now come to fruition during the NBA All-Star Break.
