The reality of the situation finally hit Aaron Glenn. More than seven months after being hired by the New York Jets, the first-time NFL head coach got surprisingly emotional Saturday. And it had nothing to do with the 12 penalties called on his team during practice.

The Jets paid dearly for their indifference to Robert Saleh and Jeff Ulbrich’s messaging, finishing 32nd out of 32 teams in penalty yardage and in total penalties committed on their way to a 5-12 season in 2024.
